Cecilia previously worked as a Specialized Education Assistant at Sea Isle Elementary School for nearly four years and has also supported first-grade students at Western Lines School for three years. After moving to Memphis in June 2014, she began her career in early childhood education at La Petite Academy, where she worked for six years before returning to the public school system.

In addition to her work in schools, Cecilia has extensive experience with the YMCA, where she progressed from Group Leader to Inclusion Assistant and ultimately Director. In this role, she coordinated sponsorships to support families in need, helping provide Christmas assistance to seven families annually for the past three years. Throughout the year, she also ensures children have essential items such as hats, gloves, and other necessities.

A graduate of Greenville High School (Class of 1987), Cecilia is deeply committed to creating safe, supportive, and inclusive environments where children and families can thrive.
